Epalzeorhynchos frenatum is a colourful carp species from Southeast Asia that makes a good centrepiece fish for mid- to large-sized aquaria. These omnivores are not the best as deidcated algae eaters but surprise many fishkeepers by helping clean the leaves of their plants! These territorial "sharks" are best kept either singly or in large (4-5 ) groups.
